The 'feeling' you need for good golf
Have you ever thought about the feeling that shiny, dirty, worn grips transmit through your body ...?
The potential loss of confidence they may bring ...?
So you just can't commit properly to each shot ...?
Like you, I am one of those golf addicts that will try whatever I reasonably can to play better golf.
So I decided late on Saturday arvo that it was time to scrub my grips ...
And my 2 year old son was more than happy to get his hands dirty with me in the bucket of soapy water ...
A win-win.
I wasn't sure whether some of my wedges needed the grips replaced ...
But after some hardcore scrubbing, they came up pretty well.
I roughed them up quite hard with a dry towel and the 'tacky' feeling started to return ...
The resulting feeling over the ball...?
Magic.
I felt more confident.
(we all know how important confidence is during your round ...)
Like I could be more positive with each shot.
I felt properly connected to the club-head.
And it got me thinking ...
What is the Physical Body Equivalent to Cleaning Your Grips ...?
I'd have to say its building more Stability & Postural Balance.
If there is one thing I hear more than anything else from Clients after 3-4 weeks on their first Golf Fitness program its a version of this:
"...I just feel like I can turn better, and I feel much more stable..."
"...I don't feel like I am swaying or sliding as much due to the extra flexibility & stability..."
"...Those changes have given me more consistency from shot to shot also ..."
The feeling over the ball ...
Confidence.
The ability to be more positive with the shot.
Feeling properly connected to the ground and the important parts of your body.
